To this date we are fortunate that we never had any serious accidents. The Funky Tours guides are experienced and have great knowledge of the areas we travel to.  We sometime take important security measures to assure our customers a safe trip  through far away places.

  • We never travel at night outside Mexico.

  • We never venture to unknown areas that could be a risk for passengers or the vehicle itself.

  • You must keep you passport and a part of your money in a money belt. It is preferable to keep the other part and a credit card hidden at another location.

  • Try not to bring to many valuable articles that can attract attention

  • Security is also about health, have a bottle of water with you to re-hydrate. Tap water is not drinkable.

Many fear to be ripped off during internet purchases, we understand this reality and try to make ourselves transparent to our customers.  We are well known in the areas an we invite you to consult with your travel agent and ask him for references.  If you still feel insecure about the whole thing you do not have to pay all at once to make your reservation.  You can pay only a 200$ us deposit to secure you place on the Funky Van.  The rest should be paid upon arrival in Mexico at the beginning of the trip.
